This is a late posting of a fun weekend. It was a good time with friends and some family, too!
Sleeping isn't going much better around here. My son has now forsaken his naps as well as some of his evening sleep. So right now he's screaming his willful head off in his crib. I feel so bad for him, but I just don't know what to do. I rarely know as a matter of fact. So my current method is to plunk his tired head into bed twice a day and listen to him roar as he pulls blankets off the crib railings and throws things out of his crib. We do that for 40 minutes or so then I cheerfully get him out and pretend he had a "nap"! I'm not sure if I'm teaching him anything, but "they" say it should work. "They" have been wrong many times, though.
So now I am tired mom once again and thinking another baby will be nice in another 10 years or so. Oh, but that would make me 42 - well maybe I'll just enjoy nieces and nephews!
I made some raw banana bread today, it seems to be my recent method of cooking - raw that is. Let's chalk that up to distracted mom not wanting to burn things. Deereandy politely suggested that maybe it was my oven element misfunctioning again, but I know different. "No it's me." Along the cooking lines, I made some delicious soup yesterday. It was a vegetable lentil soup that was quite hearty and flavourful. I know vegetarian is not the way of things around our place, but Chirpee has been rejecting all non-pureed meat recently. This was my attempt to get some protein into him. It doesn't have too many calories, but he eats enough biscuts and bread for that.

Hang in there! They'll have to sleep eventually right? That's what I keep telling myself. Now repeat after me, "It's just a stage." "It's just a stage." "It's just a stage..."
