Three Years of Dimple

As we all prepare for Christmas celebrations, the 23rd will forever remind me of those first moments holding my warm and soft Dimple against my own skin.  Such a happy moment with realizing the blessing of another boy, the ending of a miserable pregnancy and another precious soul to love and care for.

Dimple, you were a bundle of energy and contortions in my tummy and have continued to be a racing streak through my days.  Your contagious smile warms my heart all over, your infectious laughter rings all around me and your fierce independence scares me (well, just a little anyway).  

You are my little imp, my little provoker, my little elf with a twinkle in your eye.  I thank the Lord for gifting you to our family.  I pray your heart will be His throughout your days.  There is much He has planned for you.  

So Christmas day, three years ago, I was tucked in the car with you tiny in your seat and daddy driving us through a winter storm to get us back home.  

I look forward to watching you mature and grow!  To see how the Lord will use you and care for you beyond what daddy and I can.  We love you beyond measure and the blessing of knowing you is returned to us beyond measure.  Happy birthday, little chap!
