Update on February

At first I was fine.  Actually for a long time.  I had to get onto facebook a couple times, twice to use messenger and the other time to retrieve an address.  I didn't browse around and spend time on there so I felt pretty good about that.  I am allowing myself to get recipes from Pinterest, but no looking at pins and repinning others'.  Just dinner business.  That's all.  Instagram I haven't touched.

But around the 18th I started to feel deprived of what was going on in the lives on facebook.  I had a message all composed to an old friend, but couldn't get on to write it as it was a long post.  And most of you know how long my posts can be..

I found myself breaking my one hour online rule a number of times.

So I am renewing that again today.

As far as boundaries once March kicks in; I think I have settled on facebook being something I can check after my children are in bed or when they are not home and I happen to be (rare). Otherwise, I think I am fine with my instagram life during the day (so some pics may end up on fb during day hours just because sometimes I link the posts within instagram).

And I will not put my facebook app back on my phone, it is far too handy.  No games (old boundary).  And hopefully that will give me a pretty good balance as far as time management in my day.

I have found I am a bit more productive and timely this month so that has been good.

My mother was distressed I wasn't texting since we do use that a bit so I have been texting her (and my other mother) and my sister-in-laws.  I put my phone away during homeschool time so I am not compelled to answer texts then.

I didn't actually can anything as the picture shows, but I did get supper coordinated with my husband a few evenings so everything came up just right.
