Oh, Mr. Silly Red Boots, I can't believe you now wear black boots and have a preference for pink that has lasted for three years now. It is amazing to me that I can speak in years about you. Memories are so vivid to me of cuddling you as a little munchkin. And now, well, you have outgrown my lap and our cuddles are much fewer and farther between. But my heart has only expanded in this time.
For lunch you requested pizza which is a virtually unheard of commodity in our house. So, you got some! And we even had ice cream with our cake - another special dietary cheat just for your birthday. After lunch we broke out the Dora pinata you had your eye on at the Bulk Barn in Winnipeg.
Cousin Lolo was too cute here to not be posted on my blog.
After the demise of sweet Dora, you all gathered for some candy conferencing. Tell was slow in getting up the stairs so I failed in getting him in the picture. He did get a tootsie roll so it seemed to satisfy his sweet tooth.
Oh my, it is so randomly that I post on this blog so I have yet to properly introduce the newest member of our family. We shall call him Mr. Mars. He is married to auntie Jujubes which happened in June if you remember, Chirps.
Cowboyswife and Cowboy came to your party of course!
The remains of the day...
Dora's hair is the perfect fit for Lolo. True style.
I really don't like this picture of mommy, but as I saw recently on a Pinterest ecard: "There are no bad pictures of you, it is just that sometimes you look like that." So I carry on and remember it is but a moment in time. I must have looked simply fabulous in the follow nanosecond.
Presents are every kids' favorite part of a birthday celebration. You sure had fun today opening all the generosity.
And you got so BIG this year, you had to upgrade to a new size of bike. You look so grown up these days. I asked if I could put you in a bottle and keep you five, but you said God wouldn't let me; that it was impossible. Such a smart boy! You are so precious to us, Chirpee, Happy birthday (on August 29 that is...)
