Water: The Miniseries

Another Sunday, another day without water. That has become our ritual around the house the past few weeks (many?). I tried the tap to rinse my hands off this morning and nothing came out which brought my thoughts instantly to my husband in the shower. I walked to the bathroom door, knocked and heard, "oh, no. I should have known, it's Sunday afterall."

My reply contained thankfulness that we have to haul our drinking water seperately because that meant we had water on hand to rinse him off with. I went to heat up the water and passed him pots of water so he could rinse off the soap.

There have been various reasons we've been out of water and this day had a reason of its own that I'm too ignorant of to properly express on this page so I won't attempt.

Liam was sick this week and I'm not so sure that he's fully recovered. He had a real crabby day with long naps - unusual for him. It was our first bout of sickness for him and I wavered between feeling sorry for him and then for myself as I had to lose sleep and put aside my plans.

Spring has made some appearances of late. It is breaking through the ice and snow, but the winter hasn't given up its hold yet. The wind is currently howling and the temperature is nippy. I know I've climatized over the winter because I found myself outside without any winter wear (coat, etc) and feeling quite warm when the temperature was hovering at the freezing mark. It felt like what I would normally feel at 55/60 degrees F.

I hope Liam is feeling better! And I agree about the feeling of spring and warmer temps.
