A Million Times A Day

I get inspired to blog about something.  It just seems that so much happens in between the thought and getting time to write that it is always so late and I don't get much sleep as it is.  My goodness, it takes me an hour to finish loading the dishwasher these days; I guess I shouldn't expect to keep up with blogging or my group e-mailings.  I have pictures of diapers, water kefir, kids, stories upon stories of play dough and bread making with a three year old, sloppy wet kisses with a 14 month old, teething, diaper rash, asthma frustrations....they'll probably just sit and remain unadvertised or cataloged like most lives prior to electronic communicating abilities.

Dimple's asthma is a thorn in my side.  How does one get a 14 month old to use a spacer/inhaler?  Any suggestions will be considered - we are currently just torturing him and I'm not sure that it is even benefiting him in any way.  He's been medicated with antihistamines almost every night since early December.  It seems to be the only source of some relief for him (since it is the only thing he happily takes for treatment).

On the bright side he is so fun to watch.  He has so much to say (the only words I can catch are "trak-or", "bak-oe", "dada" and a couple random "mamamamamama"'s).  He is so animated in his conversation with books, gesturing and pointing and looking expectantly at you.  Finding his own stride has been the goal of the past couple months.  Dimple started walking at 12 months and I always enjoy watching his big belly guiding him forward, chub legs jerkily trying to keep up and arms up and out to the side (I suppose for navigation?).

Tonight, as Chirpee was playing with a new batch of play dough that we concocted, he says, "you're special, mommy".  That is the second time in a week he has done that and never has he made me so mushy and puddlish.  He has also been full of spontaneous hugs and kisses which has also aided in melting me into my shoes!  I just love that boy's love!

He is fast learning his numbers, Bible verses, his imagination is expanding, always looking to see how things work together and colors are pretty solid.  We are working on fuschia ;)  His current favorite is puce; it provides many minutes of great laughter for him.  I still am not sure exactly what puce looks like, but I'm trying to google it now.  They say it is a red or purplish brown color.  And all this time I thought it closer to green brown!  I've lived a lie apparently.

Bed is calling.  I'll try to "pen" my thoughts another time.

His cow gate, quad and cooking after shopping.  Full day and it is not even 9am, yet!
