Dream Building, Dream Fulfilling

Have you ever wanted something so bad you could taste it?  Well, it hasn't happened often in my life.  It certainly hasn't happened for awhile to me.  The last time I remember something akin to it was dating Deereandy.  Oh!  How I wanted a promise, then the fulfillment of it.  The Lord willed it and I got him!  "Instead you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.'”  (ESV) James 4:15

The past couple weeks has seen me beside myself wanting to have an answer; like a child, impatient.  I felt as if I was dancing around my father, begging and waiting for his reply.  For his "yes".  While at the same time accepting that I may be disappointed in His sovereign answer in the short term.  But comforted that his will is always for our best (Jer. 29:11).

Well, we got a "yes" today and were able to surprise the kids with our new home.  They didn't know we had been looking at this place; indeed a few short weeks ago we hadn't even considered moving.

The boys are on cloud 9 at the prospect!  And so are we.

The house is three bedroom, one bathroom, three car garage - well maintained and cared for.  Of course we have plots and schemes for renos, but nothing has to be done to make it move in ready.

I'd share pics of the inside, but this is really what we are excited about - outside!  The country, a place for our kids to grow up in safety and acres and acres to run around in.  The property is 22 acres all together.  Fifteen of it is pasture.

 The side yard looking north.

Looking from the side yard across the lane to the tree row and yard.

The south garden as you enter the lane (raspberries!).

South garden.

Between the tree rows (shelter belt on the south).

Looking west to the grain bins and tree row.  This is the other garden (cough, cough).

Approaching the house from the drive lane.

The front yard and additional shelter belt around the house.

Looking south at the garden/yard.

Deereandy's delight - a heated shop with attached machine shed!

We have both always dreamt of having a place in the country for our family.  And we are so happy that the Lord has found us a super place!  Just perfect.  Now.  Moving ... ugh!  I think it may be time for a moving company...

That is so funny! It looks like a brilliant place to have boys grow up! The garden work looks like it will take a few minutes though =) Loved the biggest boy's reaction too =)
