Sneak Peak Into Homemaking: Entry and Kitchen

This really isn't about homemaking per se, but I wanted to give a little peak as to what the inside of the house looks like.  It is far from perfect, but so close in some ways!  We are excited at what it will become and a lot of what it already is.

This is the entry way.  May not seem like a big deal, but that is only because you don't live in the Canadian prairies.  If you live on a farm or on the muddy, snowy prairie, its kinda a big deal.  Obviously they haven't quite moved everything out of the house and I'm not sure what will end up being left there in a couple weeks when we move.  They did say there were some things staying.  i keep meaning to ask them if we can purchase the entry bench.  It is lovely and so nice to have a place to sit down and take off gear or help kids with shoes and what not.  The door at the end of the hallway is the door to the garage.

The kitchen is a major plus for me, coming from my little U-shaped kitchen.  The dark thing on the cupboards on the left of the picture is the window screen...not sure why it is there exactly.

A little awkward, the stove is placed and vented on the exterior wall.  So I guess I had better be careful if I plan on boiling up tomato sauce.

There is a little space there on that wall to put a small breakfast table.  At some point I would like to put an island in the kitchen with bar stools - note future project.

There is an area over the microwave for a small television - I'm thinking my cookbooks will be a perfect fit!

On the back wall of the kitchen is a lovely pantry with pull outs and the fridge with the bottom freezer (love it!).

Every cabinet on ground level has pull outs!  All the doors have soft close as well.
