This is the view from the window at the top of the stairs. That hog barn in the distance will probably be scrapped at some future date. The graineries will also be moved off. There are quite a number on the yard not currently useful.
The top of the stairs looking towards the bedrooms. Dimple is standing in front of the future bathroom.
This is the view from the boys' room.
Looking towards to the doorway.
My grandparents had one of those bedside tables (smile). This is will be the boys' bedroom. Their bunk beds will likely go on this wall. Carpet to be removed at a later date, curtains coming down ASAP. There are baseboards through the house, but central air has been installed. So that pleases me because I can keep my furnace temp low and then put the baseboard on if I'm cold! But in all reality those may disappear at some point as well, knowing my husband!
This is the view from the other bedroom - not quite as lovely, but if is wasn't for that garage...oh well, we are really happy about the garage.
The view from the window is perhaps the best feature of the room as the rest is sooooo - well, original 1940s.
Hello closet! And is that a cheapy sliding plastic door? Why yes! It is! I assume you can see the project potential here.
Random, weird, makeshift shelving in the wall behind the bedroom door - discreetly covered by an old curtain.
This is a queen sized bed that is probably going to stay. Well, we have a newer mattress set to replace it with, but this will be our guest bedroom in the future - in the present it will be the master until the boys get used to the new house and we get some renos done downstairs.
Didn't your grandma have some flooring like this as well? Curtains to exit immediately.
The little cubby hole for linens is behind this door.
This is our very own secret passageway! It basically makes a wall because the roofline is so steep if that makes sense. But there is a small door in this bedroom so you can get in the space which acts as extra storage.
And folks - that is the end of the upstairs tour! Hope to see you in our guest room once we have it completed! It will be lovely and I KNOW this!
