Spooky! This is on the landing between the kitchen and entry way. We plan on this being a television/play room with my inherited piano down here. We also talked about adding a bedroom in the basement or an office. Time will tell.
The pictures are out of order, but since this is my fifth blog post of the day, I'm getting careless. So you will have to put up with it. Above is the laundry. Some strange plumbing, but effective and newer so we won't complain. Behind the wall by the dryer is the cold room.
This is at the base of the basement staircase. I'm standing close to the woodstove (which will probably disappear in the future. I'm hoping that shuffle board table with its antlers will also disappear, but...
Here is the shower that was put in the old cistern. The wall was cut open so the cistern is currently housing this shower and a gold fridge, storage cabinets and what not. Deereandy wants to add a toilet and sink in here and make it a real bathroom.
This is inside the cold room. For some reason there is an elven sized door leading to the furnace. It truly is tiny which you can't get perspective on in this picture.
Another room that is storage. I believe he used to keep a lot of wine making supplies here.
Just a wider picture so you can see that wood stove and staircase. Immediately to the left of the staircase (if you are standing on it is the doorway into the laundry/cistern/storage.
