Arrived

So here is the freezing rain . . . grrrrr yuck!

Yesterday morning was a pretty sight - until you took the shovel out to move that heavy, wet stuff.

Chirpee's first realization of snow!

Okay, so I didn't put his mits on right, but it just made him extra cute!

Where I grew up, it was always easy to tell how much snow had fallen - stick a yard stick in the snow. In Manitoba you have to estimate quite roughly because there is so much wind that blows it around. Large drifts and areas of clear ground abound! So my guess is around 6-7 inches of snow overnight.

That's quite a bit of snow! I love to watch it fall, but I don't like driving in it that's for sure.

Wow! Snow already? He looks so cute all bundled up. What did he think of the snow? I think I'm going to have to take Noah up Cypress or something to see the snow this winter.

Brrrr! Hard to believe it's that time of year already! I guess if it's going to be cold and the days are short we should have some snow! But, being the west coast, we haven't yet. The other day it was over 60 degrees, can you believe it? Lest you be jealous, today is one of those days where it never really seems to be light, just dark ALL the time. Yuck! At least it looks bright there with the snow and sunshine.
