Since we've been cooped up all week and Chirpee has been so clingy and crabby for many days, I thought up a new activity for Chirp this morning.
I put a couple bags of pinto beans into a Rubbermaid container and Chirpee enjoyed feeling the beans with his tongue (he didn't swallow them) and stirring them with a spoon.
Things were going quite well until he took the tub and dumped them.

The outcome of "Sick and Tired" was that I also got a bit of the flu the past couple days. That really isn't fun with a little one around. Oh well, it seems we are both on the recovery and my Deereandy is still holding out healthy. Today I plan on going to Winkler for some shopping which is exciting after being inside for a week! I just hope Chirpee finds it as fun as I do (or it won't be fun for either of us!).

Poor little dude! He looks so upset in the last photo!
Rice is another alternative for an indoor sandbox, as is dry pasta. My sister in law had a small day care (2 kids) and had a sand table with sand toys and dry elbow pasta.
